Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in technology operations, governance, financial operations (FinOps), or IT asset management.
Experience supporting executive-level governance or committee work is an advantage.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) billing and cost management tools preferred.
Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).
Familiarity with IT governance frameworks, PR/Procurement processes, and asset management tools.
Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with attention to detail.
Effective stakeholder communication skills, including C-level presentation preparation.
Ability to balance operational execution with governance and strategy support.
Responsibilities
Cloud Cost Strategy & FinOps Leadership
Lead cloud cost governance by analyzing expenditure trends, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and recommending strategic actions to CTO and platform team.
Deliver monthly insights and executive-ready reports highlighting cost drivers, efficiency gains, and risks, enabling leadership to make informed investment decisions.
Partner with Finance and Technology leaders to embed FinOps practices, ensuring cloud adoption is both cost-effective and value-driven.
Technology Investment & Budget Governance
Provide forward-looking analysis of technology budget utilization, assessing risks, trade-offs, and alignment with strategic business priorities.
Recommend process improvements to streamline technology financial governance and increase accountability.
Strategic Resource Utilization Oversight
Evaluate utilization of technology resources across technology teams and projects, ensuring optimization for business value creation.
Proactively identify underutilization or inefficiencies and present data-driven recommendations to leadership for redeployment or corrective action.
Support workforce and vendor resource strategy to balance cost, capability, and scalability.
IT Asset Portfolio & Governance
Oversee IT asset lifecycle governance to ensure compliance, risk management, and alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic roadmaps.
Define processes and controls to maintain accuracy, security, and audit readiness of the IT asset portfolio.
Support special assignments as required by the CTO or Head of Tech Service & Governance, ensuring alignment with DataX strategic objectives.

The Technology Strategy and Planning Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology direction by driving financial governance, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring alignment between technology investments and business strategy. This role partners with CTO leadership, Finance, and Technology teams to strengthen decision-making, enforce governance, and support strategic initiatives that maximize value realization from technology.
