Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a focus on Big Data solutions.
Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies and frameworks, such as Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, or Apache/Confluent Kafka.
Experience in designing and implementing data processing pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows, both batch and realtime.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in Big Data environments, such as Java, Python, or Scala.
Understanding of distributed systems and parallel computing concepts.
Familiarity with data storage and querying technologies, including NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and distributed file systems (e.g., HDFS, ADF).
Knowledge of data integration and data governance practices in Big Data architectures.
Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
Proficient in SQL and data querying languages.
Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, specifically in the context of Big Data.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications for Data Solution Architect:
Previous experience in designing and implementing scalable and performant Big Data solutions.
Knowledge of cloud-based Big Data platforms, such as Azure Databricks, Azure HDInsight, AWS EMR, Google Cloud Dataproc.
Understanding of machine learning and data analytics techniques commonly applied in Big Data environments.
Familiarity with real-time streaming and event processing frameworks, such as Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka or Apache Flink.
Experience in optimizing and tuning Big Data applications for performance and efficiency.
Certification in relevant Big Data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Apache Kafka or HDInsights certifications).
Preferred Qualifications for Cloud Solution Architect:
Experience in cloud computing technologies and excellent knowledge of current computing trends especially Microsoft Azure, including their services, features, and pricing models.
Designing and deploying solutions that are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective, including knowledge of microservices, serverless, and containerization.
Experience in Azure data platform services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure ML, Azure CosmosDB and PowerBI.
Experience in Active Directory, Azure Identity Management and Azure AD Premium.
Experience in Enterprise network & security architecture design.
Integration, APIs, API Management software.
Development experience in CI/CD DevSecOps environment using Github and Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of Azure Security components such as Azure Security Center, Security Operations, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Azure Solution Architect.
Knowledge of cloud monitoring and optimization tools and techniques, including metrics, logs, and alerts, and experience with tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics Workspace, Prometheus, Grafana.
Motivated personality and ability to work in self-organized teams.
Leader in the space of Cloud with a deep understanding of the project and solutions lifecycle, designing and estimating solutions that not just meet our clients, but far exceed their expectations.
Demonstrable Cloud expertise and Cloud solution architecture.
Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable and robust technical solutions to meet business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
Create architectural designs and blueprints, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.
Evaluate existing systems and technologies to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to development teams during the implementation phase.
Ensure the solution's compliance with security, performance, and reliability standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead architectural reviews and provide recommendations for optimization.
Support customer success activities by providing technical expertise and participating in client meetings and presentations.

As a Solution Architect, your role is to design and oversee the implementation of complex technical solutions that address the specific needs of projects or user stories. You will work closely with stakeholders, such as clients, project managers, development, and platform teams to understand their requirements and develop effective solutions.
