Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, Information Technology, or a closely related skill/field.

  • Experience in Data Engineer, Data Warehouse, Production Application Support, or a similar operations-focused role within a data-intensive environment.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data processing tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Databricks) is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of data management principles and business application solutions.

  • Highly proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Experience with cloud or Big Data technologies is an advantage

  • Good English communication skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, energetic, eager to learn, strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, adaptability, flexibility, teamwork, collaboration abilities, initiative, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze logs from various systems to determine the technical/operational impact, root cause(s), scope, and solutions for incidents.

  • Identify lessons learned from incident handling to improve procedures and prevent recurrence.

  • Review incidents to understand their impact, urgency, and priority, then assign the appropriate category.

  • Assist operations by re-running scheduled jobs as needed.

  • Update and maintain documentation related to daily incident tracking.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of reports and tools to measure incidents and corresponding responses, including incident numbers and response data/statistics.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement regarding incident management, fault monitoring, procedures, and issue escalation processes.

  • Provide first-level support to internal users who need to access data.

  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of the roster.

  • Other Duties as Assigned.

About Team & Role

The Service Operations team is responsible for identifying and resolving the root causes of data incidents, ensuring the prevention of recurrence, and diagnosing issues related to each event within the DataX company. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Data Engineering team, to ensure effective incident management.
