Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 administration in a business environment.

  • Proficient in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 tenant-level settings.

  • Strong experience with user and license management via Azure AD / Entra ID.

  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for M365 management tasks

  • Knowledge of Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).

  • Strong English communication skills – able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.

  • Proactive problem solver – able to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements before they become issues.

  • Team player – comfortable collaborating across departments and supporting colleagues at all levels.

  • Growth mindset – eager to learn new tools, adapt to changes, and stay current with the evolving Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Collaboration & Productivity Platform Support

  • Administer and configure Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Planner, and Forms to support internal workflows.

  • Support team adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, enabling productivity across departments including data engineering, AI product development, and operations.

  • Provide Tier 2 support and root cause analysis for M365-related issues.

Identity & Access Lifecycle (Non-Security Operations)

  • Manage user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), aligned with business processes.

  • Maintain group management (Microsoft 365 Groups, Distribution Lists, and Teams membership) to support project teams and access collaboration spaces.

Platform Governance & Optimization

  • Administer licenses, monitor M365 service usage, and provide recommendations for optimization.

  • Maintain naming conventions, retention policies, and collaboration site structure to improve usability and scalability.

  • Work with business units to structure Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive usage in a way that supports operational efficiency.

Process Automation & Documentation

  • Support automation of IT tasks using Power Automate or PowerShell where relevant (e.g., onboarding templates, shared mailbox creation).

  • Maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials for IT and end-users.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Security Operations to ensure IT configurations align with established security policies (e.g., conditional access, data loss prevention)—without owning those policies directly.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, Platform, and Support teams to ensure M365 tools integrate smoothly into operational workflows.

About Team & Role

We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Microsoft 365 Administrator to manage and optimize our Microsoft 365 ecosystem in support of internal teams delivering data platforms and AI products to banking customers. This role focuses on identity lifecycle management, collaboration tools, and platform enablement, ensuring a seamless, productive, and secure digital workplace experience.

You’ll work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to maximize the value of Microsoft 365 tools—without overlapping with security operations or endpoint security responsibilities.
