Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with a demonstrable impact on system reliability and developer productivity.
Expertise in a major cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Hands-on experience with core services like managed Kubernetes (e.g., AKS, EKS, GKE), serverless functions, object storage, and virtual networking is required.
Proficiency in programming with Golang, Python, or others for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management.
Hands-on mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
Extensive experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) and their ecosystem.
Strong command of CI/CD principles and tools, particularly Git/GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Proven experience implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.).
Solid foundation in Linux/Unix administration and Bash scripting.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
Experience supporting data-intensive platforms, including data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dask) or machine learning platforms (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow).
Practical experience applying DevSecOps principles and integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
Configuration management experience with tools like Ansible.
Familiarity with advanced architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless computing, service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd), and API gateways.
A strong advocate for agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
Responsibilities
Champion and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and GitOps methodologies to ensure consistent, repeatable, and auditable environment provisioning.
Develop and maintain sophisticated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate the build, testing, and deployment of applications and infrastructure.
Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.
Integrate security best practices into the entire software development lifecycle (DevSecOps), implementing automated security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance checks.
Ensure that all infrastructure and processes comply with strict data security, privacy regulations, and industry standards.
Partner closely with Software Developers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers to design and automate pipelines for software application, data processing workflows, model training, and AI application deployments.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Drive the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to strategically enhance platform capabilities and developer productivity.
About Team & Role
The Sr. DevOps engineer will be a part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure data platform and machine learning infrastructure in an enterprise environment. The Sr. DevOps engineers will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of DevOps best practices, implementing, and supporting DevOps tools. They will be responsible for improving the efficiency, reliability and security of the systems while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
