Staying ahead of AI risks, governance trends, and emerging technologies is critical for responsible AI adoption across SCBX. As part of the SCBX Data & AI Center of Excellence (COE), the Data & AI COE serves as a central intelligence function, tracking AI developments, gathering insights, and shaping SCBX’s AI governance strategy. This role collaborates with SCBX subsidiaries, DataX Model Risk Management, SCBX Data Governance COE, SCBX Data Privacy COE, Cyber COE, and Cloud COE ensuring AI risk intelligence is effectively integrated across the group.
The Manager - AI Governance, Data & AI COE will be responsible for monitoring AI regulations, analyzing AI risk trends, engaging with industry experts, and operationalizing AI governance policies and standards. The role also includes developing risk assurance marketing materials to build confidence in DataX’s Group Data Zone and AI Platform, securing transparency and trust in AI-driven initiatives. Additionally, this position will lead AI education efforts, expert panels, and internal briefings to keep SCBX at the forefront of responsible AI adoption.

Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications
Proven expertise in AI governance, data strategy, analytics, or AI risk management, with a strong track record in monitoring and analyzing AI/ML trends.
Overall 10+ years of experience with hands-on experience in risk assessment, regulatory analysis, model governance or a related field.
Experience in developing AI driven strategies, implementing analytics frameworks and/or model governance, and leading cross-functional teams.
Strong ability to bridge business, technology, and governance functions, ensuring AI insights translate into actionable enterprise policies.
Experience in event management, risk assurance marketing, or industry engagement.
Deep technical familiarity with data infrastructure, analytics tools, and AI model development.
Formal education in AI, Data Science, Law, or Risk Management is preferred but not required if equivalent practical experience is demonstrated.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive AI/ML model risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
Assess and evaluate the risk associated with AI/ML models, including model development, validation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and ensure appropriate controls and governance are in place.
Conduct model risk assessments, including evaluating model assumptions, data quality, model performance, and model implementation risks.
Develop and implement model validation methodologies and processes for AI/ML models.
Monitor and track model performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with data scientists, model developers, and business stakeholders to enhance the model risk management framework and processes.
Provide guidance and recommendations to senior management on model risk-related matters.
Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in AI/ML model risk management.
Lead a team of model risk management professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management
