Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer technology or related skill
Experience in Data engineering, Data Warehouse, Production Application Support
Technical skills including advanced knowledge of spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel, command-line scripting (Bash), database languages (MySQL, SQL Server), data engineering with open-source languages (Python, Spark), and general familiarity with cloud-based data processing tools
Knowledge in data management and other business application solutions
Extremely proactive, responsible, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in working with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) / Big Data technology will be an advantage
Good English communication skills
Responsibilities
Lead our data operations with a thorough knowledge and understanding of relational databases, data structures, and the ability to cleanse, analyze, and connect data from multiple sources
Lead and advise direct reports on appropriate and advanced methods related to scalable data management processes
Ensure data requests are formally captured via standard data deliverables (source-to-target, control files, validation models) for ongoing data operations and maintenance.
Monitor and provide issue solutions to ensure batch processing is within SLA
Troubleshoot internal and external issues related to Batch processing
Monitor and react to automated emails or any notification channel
Re-Run scheduled jobs as needed
Update documentation associated with daily operations.
Resolve operational problems and recommend solutions based on repetitive issues (Known Error)
Escalating to the appropriate group for action in case of an unknown issue.
Provide First level support to internal users, when they need to reach data
Support on-call 16x7
Other duties as assigned
About Team & Role
The Data Operations Engineer is responsible for operating and managing the data on DataX company. Duties will include integration of SCBx data to our platform ensuring quality, integrity, and accuracy. In addition, you will analyze issues related to each event. You will also be working closely with cross-functional teams such as the Data Engineer team.
